New Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Trailer

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot trailer has premiered.

The trailer hasn't released in English yet, but here's a general breakdown of what it has to show.

One of the prominent features displayed in the trailer revolves around DBZ: Kakarot’s mini-game system. A lot of the mini-games in this title act as a reference to some of the popular filler content and casual moments in the Dragon Ball Z anime.

The combat system, with the trailer is emphasizing the variety of ways players can level up. Players can gather emblems lying around the map and spend them on their character's skill tree. The map will also host different missions across it that players can use to battle different characters. The training mode even lets characters battle against other incarnations of themselves.

To make sure DBZ: Kakarot provides the full RPG experience, CyberConnect2 also placed side quests throughout the game. Before tackling a major story point, players can visit these side quests to earn rewards and power up their characters even further. Players can then earn rewards by using Soul Emblems to fill out community boards, which are boards that grant bonuses as they're pieced together and require a specific group of related Soul Emblems to be completed.

The trailer begins and ends with a collage of original scenes from the game and iconic moments from the anime and manga.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot releases January 17, 2020, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
