A XIII remake was first announced by publisher Microids and developer PlayMagic back in April 2019, now it has a new, official release date of Nov. 10, 2020 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
This new release date comes alongside a new gameplay trailer premiered during IGN’s Summer of Gaming. The comic book-flavored first-person shooter action you remember is still here, but what you probably don’t remember is the game looking anywhere near this good. That’s the magic of a remake for you.
XIII will have 34 levels and 15 weapons, and there’s a multiplayer component. Additionally, all of the audio has been remastered, including the voice acting of David Duchovny, who plays the lead.
If you preorder XIII, you will get golden weapon skins, which is bound to be exciting news for millions upon millions of people. Additionally, there will be a limited edition of the game, as the gameplay trailer illustrates, which will come with a metal case, three art cards, a digital copy of the original soundtrack, and an in-game skin pack apparently separate from the other golden skins.
